🧪 Composition

Each coated tablet contains:

• Serratiopeptidase enzyme – 10 mg

⚙️ Mechanism of Action

Serratiopeptidase:

• 🔬 Acts on the arachidonic acid pathway

• 🛑 Modulates COX-I and COX-II enzymes

• 🚫 Does not act on the LOX pathway

• 💥 Helps reduce inflammation, edema, and mucus viscosity

💉 Dosage

🐕 Dogs

• 1–2 mg/kg body weight

• Twice or thrice daily

🔴 Maximum daily dose:

• 60 mg per adult dog

Serrasil Forte® is indicated for conditions involving inflammation, swelling, and mucus accumulation, including:

• 🔥 All inflammatory and edematous conditions

• 🦴 Osteoarthritis

• 🧠 Back pain

• 🦾 Rheumatoid arthritis

• 🫁 Severe bronchitis (as mucolytic)

• 🦠 Pneumonia (as mucolytic)

⏳ Treatment Duration

• 🩹 Anti-inflammatory use: Up to 1 week

• 🌫️ Mucolytic use: Up to 4 weeks

⚠️ Side Effects

✔️ Generally well tolerated

🚨 Rarely reported:

• Eosinophilic pneumonitis

• Bullous pemphigoid

• Hemorrhage
