🧪 Composition

• PETPRED® 10 mg Tablet: Prednisolone IP 10 mg

• PETPRED® 20 mg Tablet: Prednisolone IP 20 mg

⚖️ Dosage (As Prescribed by Veterinarian)

• Anti-inflammatory dose:
  0.2 – 0.6 mg/kg body weight (once or twice daily)

• Immunosuppressive dose:
  2 – 6 mg/kg body weight (up to three times daily)

⚠️ Do not discontinue abruptly. Taper dosage gradually under veterinary supervision.

⚙️ Mechanism of Action

Prednisolone inhibits inflammatory pathways (NF-κB, prostaglandins, cytokines) and suppresses immune overactivity, providing rapid relief from inflammation, swelling, and immune reactions.

⚠️ Possible Side Effects

• Increased thirst & urination 💧

• Increased appetite 🍖

• Vomiting or diarrhoea

• Panting & mild behavioural changes (long-term use)

🚫 Contraindications / Caution

• Not recommended in pregnant or lactating pets

• Avoid in pets with fungal infections

• Use only under veterinary prescription
