Savavet PROMICEF TAZO is a powerful broad-spectrum veterinary antibiotic formulated for dogs and cats. It contains a synergistic combination of Ceftriaxone (a 3rd-generation cephalosporin) and Tazobactam (a beta-lactamase inhibitor), making it highly effective against resistant and complicated bacterial infections.

This injectable formulation provides reliable results in respiratory, urinary, skin, bone, abdominal, and systemic infections, offering strong and consistent therapeutic support for serious conditions.

1 Vial (Powder)

• Ceftriaxone Sodium IP (Sterile)

  • Equivalent to Anhydrous Ceftriaxone – 500 mg

• Tazobactam Sodium IP (Sterile)

  • Equivalent to Tazobactam – 62.5 mg

1 Ampoule – Sterile Water (5 ml)

PROMICEF TAZO is indicated for treating bacterial infections caused by resistant organisms in dogs & cats, including:

📌 Dosage & Administration

(Use only under veterinary supervision)

Dogs

• 15–50 mg/kg every 12–24 hours (IM/IV)

Cats

• 25–50 mg/kg every 12 hours (IM/IV)

Reconstitution

• IV: Dissolve in 5 ml sterile water

• IM: Dissolve in 2 ml sterile water

➡️ Use immediately after reconstitution or as advised by your vet.
➡️ Dosage is calculated based on ceftriaxone equivalent (500 mg).

⚠️ Warnings & Precautions

• ❌ Not for pets allergic to cephalosporins or tazobactam

• 🚫 For parenteral (IM/IV) use only — not for oral use

• 💢 May cause mild pain at injection site

• 🧪 Monitor liver & kidney parameters during prolonged therapy

• ⚠️ Avoid use with aminoglycosides or calcium-containing solutions

🩺 Possible Adverse Reactions

• GI upset (vomiting, diarrhea)

• Hematological changes (eosinophilia, thrombocytosis, leucopenia)

• Increased liver/kidney parameters (rare)

• False-positive Coombs and urine glucose test results
